In June, he reported on taking a three-month-long break from the schedules of Bakemonogatari, Ogure Ito, also known as Oh! Great. He said he contracted an undisclosed illness but failed to mention the nature of his ailment.

Fans have tried to decipher what is wrong with their artists with many connecting dots as the character of his manga acquiring Covid, leading them to speculate if the author must be going to the same.

Fortunately, they do not have to wait long as he promised to return around September 7th.

Baki author and Japanese manga artist Keisuke Itagaki is not dead as he is still well and alive.

Rumors about his death have been under speculation, with several sites posting fake news to get more clicks. On such a website is react365, where they have the clickbait title of Keisuke Itagaki Found Dead At 61 while conveniently keeping their publish date 2059.

However, they have a disclaimer saying they are a satirical website and not to take their words seriously, losing credibility.

In reality, the artist is doing well and is healthy, with no reported illness surrounding his name.

Sadly, he has declared going on hiatus for 90 days as diehard fans need to wait before getting their weekly quota of the chapters.

Indeed, the new story is part of Nisio Isin’s Monogatari light novel series, as many versions of the universe are present.

The story follows the life of Koyomi Araragi, a quasi-vampire who wants a normal life after getting attacked by one of his own. But threats are everywhere as he gets entangled in the supernatural troubles of the women around him.

Garōden author Keisuke Itagaki was born on April 4, 1957, making him 65 years old.

During his teenage year, he got interested in drawing but kept up his athletics as he eventually got a degree in Shorinji Kempo.

Growing up in Kushiro, Japan, he got inducted into the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, dedicating five years of his life to the 1st Airborne Brigade.

A part of the special force, he learned how to box and even competed in the National Sports Festival.

He began with his artwork on Make-Upper but only gained recognition after selling 75 million volumes of his Grappler Baki series.
