Cienna Jervies Accident – Obituary: 12-year-old Passed Away After Ocean Grove Drowning Accident
Cienna Jervies, a beautiful and intelligent 12-year-old, tragically passed away in a drowning accident near Bellarine beach in Ocean Grove. She was lovingly known as Sissy by her family and friends. The incident occurred during the school holidays, and it has left her family and loved ones in mourning.
The tragic incident unfolded at Collendina Beach in Ocean Grove, Victoria, around 6 o’clock in the evening, when Cienna and another 12-year-old girl found themselves in a dangerous situation due to rough surf. Elise Van Wegen, a 35-year-old nurse who was out for a run with her dog, was informed about the situation by two women. Cienna, also known as Sissy, was at risk of drowning, and despite the brave efforts of bystanders, including an unidentified man, they were unable to revive her.
