Father Paul Battersbee And Mum Hollie Dance, Archie Battersbee Parents Want Him Out Of Life Support
Paul Battersbee and Hollie Dance are parents in the UK, fighting to keep their 12-year-old son, Archie Battersbee, on life support as the court in London denied it on July 25. Archie was involved in a terrible accident that seriously injured his ability to think.
According to the doctors, the boy’s brain damage was so severe that he might be mentally incapacitated. The doctors suggested a mind stem demise check which the family refused, leading to the idea of taking the case to a high court to enable the check to be successfully completed.
After the case was heard in London, the jury decided that Archie had passed away on May 31, the day of his MRI scan. They further stated that his life support could be halted. Nevertheless, Hollie and Paul did not forfeit the life of their son.
The parents expressed that their son was still alive and hoped for his continued recovery. Moreover, while talking in a recent interview, Hollie mentioned that Archie squeezed her hand.
Archie’s parents, Hollie and Paul, divorced when Archie was six years old. Paul has, however, been equally supportive in the interim so that his former partner and son could resume their lives.
I’m sorry, but you cannot recover from this. Archie Battersbee needs to be allowed to die with dignity. https://t.co/WzOtYUPwWJ
The couple has appealed for everyone to join hands in trying to save the life of their 12-year-old son. Hollie has also created an online webpage to share her son’s case updates. However, there are several people who express that Archie should be allowed to pass away in peace as he can’t be recovered from this condition.
