Kenny DeForest Obituary – Death: Kenny DeForest Organs Successfully Transplanted Into Five Recipients
The untimely passing of stand-up comedian Kenny DeForest on December 8 due to a bike accident has brought renewed hope to five individuals who have received six of DeForest’s organs. DeForest’s family and LiveOnNY, a nonprofit organ procurement organization, have confirmed the successful transplantation of six organs into recipients aged 30 to 75 in New York, Pennsylvania, Washington, DC, and Indiana. A seventh organ is en route for transplantation.
As a registered organ donor, DeForest’s selfless gift includes his heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, and pancreas. Leonard Achan, President and CEO of LiveOnNY, expressed gratitude for Kenny’s donation, emphasizing that his organs have provided a second chance at life for recipients in different states. LiveOnNY is honored to fulfill Kenny’s final wish and be custodians of these precious gifts on behalf of his family.
Kenny DeForest, known for his comedic talent showcased on various platforms, including Late Night with Seth Meyers and The Late Late Show with James Corden, HBO’s Crashing, and Comedy Central’s Tales From The Trip, tragically passed away on December 13 at Brooklyn’s Kings County Hospital.
