Meredith Chapman was working as an assistant vice president at Villanova University. Her career began in 2010 when she took on the role of a senior news editor for the Office of Communications and Marketing (OCM) at the University of Delaware.
She was appointed director of digital communications in 2013. Additionally, she held an adjunct faculty position at the Lerner College of Business and Economics and the Department of Communication.
In 2016, the University Professional and Continuing Education Association honored her for creating the university’s Social Media Marketing Strategy Certificate, provided through Professional and Continuing Studies.
She had also worked as a consultant with Ruffalo Noel Levitz offering direction in branding, strategy, and digital marketing.
She obtained a bachelor’s in communication and a master’s in educational technology at UD. She coached cheerleading at Newark High School and participated in the UD cheer squad as an undergraduate.
In April 2018, Meredith Chapman was murdered at her Pennsylvania home. Her lover’s wife broke into her house, waited for her to arrive, then shot her to death before taking her own life.
Just a few days after starting her position as Villanova University’s assistant vice president, the 33-year-old was killed. Her obituary notice mentioned that she was a woman with unflagging energy, infectious enthusiasm, and keen insights.

However, he stumbled into a recording device attached to his clothes during the second session. Jennair admitted to having been spying on him and Meredith.
Mark said that divorce was inevitable after that incident. His divorce from his wife was official when Chapman moved to Radnor Township and accepted a position at Villanova University.
On the day of the murder, Jennair had asked him out for dinner to discuss divorce agreements, but she did not show up and instead asked Mark to go home as she could not make it.
Then, she sent a series of texts to him, hoping he would never find happiness and bidding goodbye. She had also sent him a picture of a trash can outside Chapman’s house.
When Chapman did not respond to his text, he rushed to her home, hoping he would find both of them confronting each other. But, what he saw was the dead bodies of both women.

He had a dispute over the life insurance of his late estranged wife. However, a judge ruled that he had to forfeit the proceeds from each of her individual life insurance policies. But, he was entitled to the proceeds of the group life insurance policy.
