Wesley White’s emergence in the English rugby scene is remarkable, particularly considering his familial connection to Jake White, the distinguished coach who guided South Africa to triumph in the 2007 Rugby World Cup.

Initiating his rugby journey at Bishops College in Cape Town, Wesley showcased his flair as a flank for the school’s 1st XV in 2013. During this period, he even contributed to the Western Province U18 team against Montpellier’s junior team.

After completing his schooling in 2014, Wesley shifted to Durban, transitioning to the hooker position while playing for the Sharks U19 team. His international sojourn began in 2015 when he joined the France Pro D2 side Montauban. Following this, he pursued his studies at Lindenwood University in Missouri, USA, from 2016 to 2019.

Throughout his time in the United States, Wesley White achieved considerable success, clinching the Collegiate Rugby Championship twice and honing his skills with the USA Eagles sevens team. His journey extended to playing for the MLR side Austin Herd. In 2021, he made a significant move, joining the Jersey Reds and leaving an immediate impact by scoring a try just three minutes into his inaugural start for the club. This trajectory solidifies Wesley White as an emerging star in English rugby, contributing another chapter to the illustrious rugby legacy of the White family.
