Netflix has become the true home of true crime stories in recent years, and while most of their efforts have been documentaries, the streaming’s latest offering is a full-length series about Jeffrey Dahmer’s story.

The new series details the evil that led to Dahmer being known as the Milwaukee cannibal, while also exploring the lives of his victims and what kept the brutal killing spree going.

However, other sources reported that Jeffrey’s teasing of his younger brother attracted more attention from his parents.

After Lionel and Joyce Dahmer divorced in 1978, David lived with his mother and relatives in Wisconsin for a while after gaining custody. When Jeffrey’s crimes came to light, David changed his name, assumed a new identity, and retired from public life.

David never appeared in the media, nor did he appear in a new Netflix series. Lionel explained in a 2004 interview with Larry King: “We committed to him with absolute secrecy.”

While David’s stepmother Sally Dahmer provided some details about his situation, he revealed that he has a stable career and is expecting his second child. Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story releases on Netflix on Wednesday, September 21st, 2022.
