The pandemic caused a delay in his trial, which finally started in late June of this year. Cruciani was sent to Rikers Island to await sentencing. On September 14, Mr. Cruciani was scheduled to be sentenced and could receive a life sentence. Additionally, he was charged on federal and state levels in New Jersey and Manhattan for similar acts.
