Where Is Paul Brandon Norris Now? Kamisha Block Murder and Documentary

Kamisha Block and Paul Brandon Norris, two members of the 401st Military Police Company who had been sent from Fort Hood, Texas, to Camp Liberty, Iraq, were shot and killed on August 16, 2007.

On August 16, 2007, a fellow soldier murdered Spc. Kamisha Block at Camp Liberty in Iraq when she was serving with the 401st Military Police Company. The Army has restarted its inquiry into her death after twelve years.

What Caused Paul Brandon Norris to Murder Kamisha Block?

Paul Brandon Norris committed this murder-suicide because of the two people’s relationship.

Paul and Kamisha had first met at Fort Hood in Texas, and their chemistry quickly developed into love. When they got to Iraq, Kamisha wanted to call it off because the situation had turned tense.

Apart from that, the relationship between Paul and his wife was deemed improper and prohibited by the Uniform Code of Military Justice because Paul had a higher rank and was still technically married (though separated from his wife).

One of Kamisha’s military pals stationed at the same Iraqi facility later admitted that she felt trapped in the union. In the days preceding the incident, they also mentioned that Kamisha refused to talk about Paul in any conversations when the subject was raised.

Kamisha’s friends worried that Paul would lose it and hit her one day. But she did say that he was physically aggressive against her. However, they could never have guessed that Paul’s feelings were so intense that he committed a homicide.

However, the weirdest part of the entire incident is that on August 17, 2007, Kamisha’s family was informed by the two soldiers tasked with informing them of her death that she had died after suffering a single bullet to the chest from direct fire. When Kamisha’s body was delivered, and her family saw the numerous wounds, they naturally began to have doubts.

According to specific stories, Paul Brandon’s conduct was questionable before Kamisha’s tragic death, and the Army later destroyed several documents related to his acts. Furthermore, it’s claimed that Brandon could not participate in a mission that day because he was experiencing some problems.

According to a complaint, the 30-year-old Staff Sergeant went inside Kamisha’s apartment that day and told her roommate to leave them alone. The roommate followed instructions but stayed close by. So she hurried to the door as soon as she heard a couple of gunshots and opened it, only to see Paul pointing the gun at her.

After being shot five times in the head and chest, 20-year-old Kamisha was bleeding on the ground. But by then, Paul had not been hurt. However, the Staff Sergeant turned the gun on himself and shot once, aiming straight for his head, defying orders to either speak or shoot the roommate.
