Wisconsin Anthoni Cirra Arrested Check Charges And Reports

Authorities in Wisconsin have arrested a 24-year-old man for allegedly killing a newborn by beating him while guarding it. The suspect, Anthoni Cirra, was arrested on Sunday, July 10, 2022. Cirra is charged with multiple offenses, including first-degree reckless homicide and neglect of a child resulting in 9-month-old Lochlan Steffes, according to court documents analyzed by Law & Crime. The news spread like wildfire on social media, shaking everyone to the core. People were even shocked to hear the unfortunate news. Let’s check out more details of the news here.

Anthony Cirra watched his friend’s 9-month-old boy on July 6 while his parents were at work, according to a criminal complaint. On the morning of July 7, baby Rockland was rushed to the emergency room at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. Rockland was apparently unconscious and seriously injured when he was admitted to the hospital. According to authorities, his injuries were “life-threatening and the physical abuse of the child is very serious”. The next day, doctors removed Rockland’s life support and he was pronounced dead around 7:19, according to authorities.

According to a preliminary assessment, the baby suffered severe brain damage “consistent with blunt force trauma to the head”. Anthoni Cirra helped the victim’s mother and Lochlan’s father secure positions at his place of business after they found a mutual acquaintance. At the time of the incident, Anthony reportedly offered to take care of the child on July 6, his day off. He reportedly put the couple to work at 8:30 a.m. and brought their children to his home in the 1500 block of S. 3rd Street. When her mother came back from getting off work, she noticed a new bruise on Lochalan’s arm.

When asked about the injury, Anthony said he didn’t care. That same night, the baby’s condition worsened, and when Rockland’s mother said she wanted to take the baby to the hospital, Sila told her she was overreacting. On the morning of July 7, the baby’s lips were blue and he was not breathing. When the boy’s mother performed CPR, Anthony admitted his mistake and shouted that it was his fault. Anthony said he dropped the baby on the floor while bathing him. According to the prison report, Anthony’s bond was set at $50,000. Let’s add that the child’s parents were also arrested.
