Muhammad Syed, a 51 years old man from Albuquerque levied for killing two Muslim men.
Syed is suspected of a Sunni Muslim targeting Shiite Muslims for his interpersonal conflict. The murderer may know them personally and have taken these steps. The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) National Deputy Director Edward Ahmed Mitchell said following the incident last week, Albuquerque Muslim’s life is in danger.
Some detail related to four Muslims who have been killed over nine months n Albuquerque:
- On August 5, 2022: Naeem Hussian, a 25 Pakastani man, was found dead on Truman Street and Grand Avenue.
- On August 1, 2022: Muhammad Afzaal Hussain, 27, was killed on the sidewalk outside his apartment building.
- On July 26, 2022: Aftab Hussein, 41, was shot at 420 Rhode Island Ave and announced dead later.
- On November 7, 2022: Mohammad Zahir Ahmadi, 62, was found shot in the parking lot of the shop that his sibling owns.
Syed is the primary suspect in killing two of four Muslim men. The APD Public Information Officer retweeted the news on Twitter. They had mentioned that APD detectives and FBI agents captured Muhammad Syed, who they believe to be the primary suspect in the recent murders of Muslim men in Albuquerque.

Muhammad Syed And His Wife’s Age Difference
Syed is a 51 years old man involved in the murder of two Muslim men. His wife may be unknown of the criminal activities of her husband. On Saturday, August 6, APD announced they are examining the murder detail of the Muslim man who died at age 25.
Naeem Hussain lost his life at a young age after being shot on Friday and pronounced dead. The officer believed the murder case of Friday must to connected with the other three recent incidents of Muslim men. All the victims are from South Asia.
Shortly, detectives determined there was a connection to the recent murder case of Muhammed Afzal Hussian, who was only 27, and the murder of Aftab Hussein, who was 41 years old. Both are a citizen of Pakistan and belongs to the Muslim religion.
As a result, detectives wonder if the case relates to the other two murders. The agents have determined the Vehicle and will provide a reward of $30,000 for delivering associated information.
Also, Andrew Burson was fatally shot during a confrontation with another juvenile on his way home from high school in Albuquerque.

Syed had charged with killing Aftab Hussein on July 26, 2022, and the murder of Muhammad Afzaal Hussian on August 1, 2022. He lived in two homicides where the officer reported it tied using bullet casing discovered at the scenes.
