What Happened To Stacy Peterson & Where Is Drew Peterson Today?

A fresh dispute has arisen over the case of former Bolingbrook police sergeant Drew Peterson and the whereabouts of his long-missing fourth wife, Stacy, some ten years after his murder conviction.

In 2012, Drew Walter Peterson, an American convicted murderer and former police sergeant was found guilty of killing his third wife, Kathleen Savio, just a few months after their 2003 divorce. Peterson was born on January 5, 1954.

When Peterson’s fourth wife, Stacy Ann Cales Peterson, vanished, he first made national headlines. Unfortunately, Stacy Ann has never been discovered, despite suspicions of foul play from the police and her family.

Joel Brodsky, the former lead defence counsel for Drew Peterson, stated in an interview that he could reveal what he knows about what happened to Stacy Peterson, presumed dead, earlier this week on WGN News.

Stacy Ann Cales, a 19-year-old hotel receptionist, born January 20, 1984, in Downers Grove, Illinois, became Peterson’s wife when Peterson, then 49, wed her on October 18, 2003.

In his request, submitted in October, Peterson claims that Joel Brodsky, who served as his primary attorney, was ineffective in representing him. In addition, Peterson claims that Brodsky intimidated other attorneys by threatening the dismissal of the case if they disagreed with him and that Brodsky forbade him from testifying in his defence. Peterson also asserts witness intimidation and improper behaviour by the prosecution.

Furthermore, he contends that two crucial witnesses who were permitted to testify under the state’s hearsay legislation ought not to have been. Drew Peterson’s fundamental right to face his accusers was not violated by hearsay testimony from Savio and Stacy Peterson, the Illinois Supreme Court decided in a unanimous 2017 ruling. This was due to evidence that he killed them to suppress their testimony.

In a 23-page written response, the Will County State’s Attorney’s office rejected Peterson’s allegations as unfounded and disclaimed any wrongdoing or witness intimidation. According to the prosecution, Peterson was found guilty by the state’s higher courts, including the Supreme Court. They also presented court transcripts in which Peterson informed the judge that he declined to testify but omitted to add that Brodsky stopped him from doing so. Brodsky concurred that higher courts had already concluded that there was nothing unlawful about the trial and that Peterson’s concerns were or might have been brought in earlier appeals.
