A 4-year-old boy, identified as Gor Adamyan, tragically lost his life in a vehicle-to-vehicle shooting in Lancaster, believed to be fueled by road rage. Gor was described as a “vibrant” child whose life was cut short in a heartbreaking incident.

The unfortunate event occurred while Gor’s parents were out grocery shopping, encountering a suspicious driver that led to an unthinkable tragedy, as detailed on a GoFundMe page dedicated to the young victim.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the suspects pursued Gor’s family on a highway, firing multiple shots into their vehicle after reportedly cutting them off. Lancaster Mayor R. Rex Parris expressed the shock of such an unimaginable act, emphasizing that it could have happened to any family.

Two suspects, a 29-year-old man (Byron Burkhart) and a 27-year-old woman (Alexandria Gentile), were arrested on suspicion of murder and booked into the Los Angeles County Jail. The confrontation began around 7:30 p.m. on Sierra Highway, where the suspects cut off the victim’s family in traffic, initiating a pursuit through several streets.

During the incident, the suspect driver pulled up next to the victim’s car and opened fire when the victim’s driver slowed down. Tragically, a bullet struck Gor, who was seated in the back, resulting in his untimely death. The boy’s parents, who were also in the vehicle, escaped physical harm.

Gor’s grieving father and mother rushed him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities quickly identified and apprehended the suspects, Byron Burkhart and Alexandria Gentile, using crime-fighting technology within hours.

This senseless act of violence has left a community in mourning, as they come together to support Gor Adamyan’s family during this devastating time.
