Kingston High School Car Accident: 2 students died, 1 hurt after vehicle crash on Route 28 in Mount Tremper, New York

Kingston High School District is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of two students who were involved in a fatal car accident on Monday. The incident, which occurred on Route 28 in Mount Tremper, New York, claimed the lives of two athletic students from Kingston High School, and another student is currently hospitalized.

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Paul J. Padalino expressed his condolences, describing the incident as a “devastating automobile accident.” In a statement, Padalino said, “Our hearts ache as we process this tragic news, and our love and support go out to all those affected by this unimaginable loss.”

The Ulster County Fire/Rescue Incidents issued a public alert at 9:07 am on the day of the incident, reporting a rollover collision near Tremper Hill Farms on Route 28 in Mount Tremper. The collision resulted in injuries and entrapment, prompting a significant emergency response. Witnesses observed the accident involving a vehicle and a tractor-trailer.

Parents and students were formally notified of the unfortunate incident at approximately 2:10 pm on the same day.
